April Showers…Brought Many Flowers

The month of April was full of excitement, as we made our rounds throughout the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. From George Mason University ASA’s African Awareness Market, to the elegant Art For Life finale at the 4th Annual GWB Ball, it was truly a busy month for YWC. Check out a visual recap inside!

The Delta Mu Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority YWC Fundraiser

At Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the ladies of the Delta Mu Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc., set a cafe-esque ambiance in an effort to raise money for Yehri Wi Cry, Inc. Patrons enjoyed a night of music, dance, and literary prose with proceeds benefitting YWC’s mission in Sierra Leone.

George Mason University ASA: Awareness Market

George Mason University’s first African Awareness Market was designed to expose the George Mason community to a variety of up & coming clothing and accessory companies, while spreading awareness about issues affecting Africa. Yehri Wi Cry had the pleasure of being invited to take part in the event.
